LANAP® Laser Gum Surgery Delivers Gentle, Minimally Invasive Care
The LANAP® protocol is a gentle, minimally invasive procedure. We use the highly specific PerioLase® MVP-7™ laser to reach deep below the gums where the infection lies. Our laser gently targets only infected gum tissue and harmful bacteria. Surrounding, healthy tissue remains completely unharmed and intact. LANAP® laser gum surgery treatment reduces inflammation up to 90 percent in a single visit. It also encourages natural healing, without the assistance of sutures. Dr. Austin Wang uses the LANAP® protocol to treat most cases of gum disease. Peri-implantitis is also effectively treated with LAPIP® (the laser gum surgery application for dental implants).
